MM574: Youth Ministry Design and Programming
Aim
To develop a strategy for appropriate youth ministry design
and to examine effective programming strategies.
Content Outline
a. Youth Ministry Design: Develop a Biblical and appropriate
youth ministry design with particular reference to philosophy,
purpose, models of ministry, implementation, and integration
with the wider church.
b. Youth Ministry Programming: Learn principles and practices
of elements of an effective youth programme with particular
reference to Bible study, prayer, worship, camping, evangelism,
mission, and recreation.
Assessments
Assessment 1: Written Assignment (2,000 words): Present
a proposed* Youth Ministry Design for the ministry you are
involved in and describe a strategy for its implementation.
Assessment 2: Written Assignment (2,000 words): Reflect on
three aspects of programming within your youth ministry. Choose
Bible study and two others from the following list: prayer,
worship, evangelism, service/mission, recreation, camping,
creative ministry, or family ministry. Evaluate these in the
light of theory taught, identifying strengths and weaknesses
and identify specific steps you will take to improve the programme.
